Installed EBC Greenstuff... Issuez
They squeak and squeal like mad.. not happy...And there is a shudder now that wasnt there before... I know how to change brakes, ive done it many times before... Is this to be expected from performance brakes? Ive never bought anything other than stock issued...?
My dad had the same issue on his F150 when we first put EBC Greenstuffs on...Did you put Anti-vibration gunk on the back of the pads? He did, and let it set like the instructions on the bottle said, fixed the problem of the vibration.
As for squealing, there was some squealing initially until the break-in/conditioning period was over with (according to EBC, it's approx. 100 mi).
I put some EBC's on my old Saturn, did the anti-vibration gunk, no problems. Got some squealing at the start, but after the wear-in material got "scrubbed" off with the first 100 mi, it worked GREAT!

I liked 'em except for the obnoxious green color that showed up in the calipers that you couldn't miss from a mile away...My dad, on the other hand, is wishing he'd bought Hawks instead. But, the flip side is that the Hawks were quite a bit more than the EBCs, so, he'll live with the EBCs on his truck.

Now, from what I've heard (and don't hold me to it) you have to treat ceramic pads before installing them? We put them on my dads F-350 and they sqeak like no other, someone told us it was because we didn't treat them, is this true?
Did you burnish or scuff your rotors with 400 grit to break
the glaze from the pads before? This will cause all sorts of
noise and shudder. The pads skip across the rotor instead
of grabbing like they should.
Also the instructions might have said something like
breaking in your pads the first time by heating them up really good
with a few short hard stops.

I hate ceramic pads...squeal like stuck pigs... tried two, sets both sucked..went back to OEM and zero squeal. Breaking them in did not help, shims did not help, shims + gunk did not help, gunk no shims did not help, rotor scuffing did not help...oem. problem solved.
