Help With TSB 06-4-1: Difficult to Do Myself?
Several of you have discussed TSB 06-4-1 regarding the persistent rattle noise from the center stack and gearshift area of S197s. I've read the TSB and see that they prescribe worm clamps on the exhaust hanger isolators. I'm not nearly as mechanically capable as many of you gentlemen, so my question is . . . is this a difficult job or is this something a guy with basic tools and maintenence skills can handle? Thanks.

Very simple.
1) Jack the car up enough to were you can fit and reach the hangers.
BE SURE TO USE JACK STAND!!!!!
2) Open the clamp all the way so it's now aC shape
3) Feed the end of the clamp over the crossmember
( this will be the hardest part as to get it out the other opening thats a little tight)
4) Then just reatatch the clamp over the rubber part of the hanger.
An electric screw driver makes it alot more easier to do. I would take better pictures for you but I/m not at work. Hope tgis helps

Thanks, PROMETHEUS PRIME, for your help. Yes, I was wondering about clearance. Would sturdy ramps work instead of jackstands? I have the 7 or 8 inch ramps and I didn't know if that would give me enough work room or if I would need to finda garagewith a lift to help me out.
