quick car charger question

quick car charger question
I just got my 07 v6 coupe on sunday...
When using my ipod car charger- I see that the light on the charger stays on even when I've taken the key out- meaning it's still getting juice.
This continues forever as I tested walking away for 20 minutes.
Does that mean I have to unplug the charger EVERY time it's not in use?
This was not the case in my 2004 civic- and I'm just afraid that I might come back to a drained battery if I forget one of these days.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks!

RE: quick car charger question
Yup the 12V outlets are always hot. It really shouldn't be a drain if the charger isn't charging a device as only the LED is lit. I forget to unplug my radar detector all the time and have yet to have a drained battery.

RE: quick car charger question
It wont kill your battery. I have my ipod, phone, and radar detector plugged in 24/7. Ive gone over a week with the ipod and radar plugged in without starting the car and it started fine.
