Ok so I Installed the JLT2 Intake, and installed the 91 tune and filled up from 1/8th tank of 87 to full with 91. At very low rpm like 1500 when I hit the gas the car pings. very quiet though no radio or fan on listening very intently. Is there a problem or is this ok? It does not ping at high RPMS either that or I cannot hear them over my exhaust?

 

Iv been runnin the 91 tune from Brenspeed, I had about 1/4 tank left i filled up with 93 to mix it in i had a ping/ spark knock at WOT at like 5000 rpm. I ran the tank downt till it said 5 miles to empty, filled up with 91 got on it hard 2, 3 times to get watever was left out and its been fine ever since not noise.

 

I had that problem. I went andadded some octane booster and that fixed it.It turned out that the gas out at the military base was the problem. Soon as I started using a different gas station,it went away. I think that the gas they advertised as 93, really wasn't. Never had the problem since.

 

Ok it must be because I mixed gas then because its very quiet and there was about 50 miles till empty on the tank of 87

 

I just installed a C&L and B@m@ tune. I started with the 87 tune because that is what I had in the tank. Filled up with 93 with about 1/8 of tank of 87 left. I drove around for half a tank with 87 tune still. Just topped off today with more 93 plan on changing the tune tonight.

I was worried about the left over gas too. I am sure that is all it is. I would say through some octane booster in or find a gas station that sells 100 octane and top it off.
