i just had my new louvers that I ordered from Stage3motorsports painted and put on my car. For only $70 for a pair of louvers I couldnt resist.

RE: NEW LOUVERS
I got them from
http://www.stage3motorsports.com/product/VT3180
and had them painted at my local body shop. And yeah its just the light. The sun was setting and it is about to rain so the light level is low. But up close and in person the colors seem fine to me.

RE: NEW LOUVERS
I went back out again and maybe you guys are right, it may be a touch dark. I didnt look at them too closly when I put them on cause I wanted to get in the garage before it rained. This may be a dumb question, but is their anything I can do to help blend the color better other then having them repainted? The body shop I used is a family friend and since he did it for free I dont rweally want to bring it back to him and ask him to repaint it.

RE: NEW LOUVERS
so I noticed this morning after I pulled out of the garage and checked out the louvers that the clear on the louvers doesnt seem to shine as much as the rest of the car. Im def not a auto body wiz and like I mentioned earlier I really dont want to take it back to where I had it painted. So, is wet sanding, rubbing compount, and a polish compound safe to do on a fresly painted part? Or does anyone else have any ideas on what I can do myself to see if it makes it any better?

RE: NEW LOUVERS
Maybe your friend tried to make it as cheap as possible for you and used some crappy paint.
I think it is all in the way you address it to him. He would have to be an *** not to repaint them for you since (rightfully so) you are not happy/satisfied with the result. Favor is a favor, but if it gets screwed up every "normal" person should redo it to make it right.
Maybe offer to buy color matching paint...
Good luck.

He used the factory paint code from my door jam. Im not sure about a clear coat... I would hope he did... Im going to try some light polishing compound tonight to see if that helps.
