Default Lets talk rear bumpers.

I remember long ago there was some discussion about splash guards. I had a set of the Molded splash guards on my GT, but they looked like crap in my opinion. I never took them off though. Either they fell off, or someone stole them... either or they disappeared one day. Anyway when the GT 500 came to down it had some nice sleek, barely noticable splash guards and it was said that these would fit on the GT.

So I just happened to be at the dealership when I called and ordered a set, took them home and just lined them up to the bolts and it appears the GT 500 has a wider bumper, because they simply don't do the job like they are supposed to.

So question is... what rear bumpers can these be used with? I don't like the GT 500 rear bumper because of the little | | | | | | design it has at the bottom.. Looks... I dunno, I want to say riceish but I'm sure it has it's reason.

Well, the | | | | on the bottom is a rear air diffuser. Those splash guards you bought will fit on the GT500 bumper and the GT/CS bumper. Both are the same except for which parts are painted

Look in my gallery for what the GT/CS looks like

Well that sucks! I guess I could always try drilling holes in the splash guards to make for a proper fit.. That Air Diffuser just doesn't look good to me.

Considering the GT500 and CS may have wider rear bumpers, it's kind of hard to say how well this will work. The splash guards aren't very wide to begin with so if I cut off most of the excess in order for them to fit there won't be much actually pressed against the body... Which means they could easily fly off or something. Not sure.
