People are going to tell you to use the search forum,

The warranty rules are really too complicated for anybody to understand but most people have found if your dealer is cool and you dont go toooo extreme then your warranty should stay in affect unless the modification caused the problem .

I mentioned that because theres not a ton you can do without voiding the warranty , A few questions at first auto or manual ? what plans do you have for your car and what do you want it to do? do you want a track car or a car to look good and have some power on the streets? Is it a daily driver or a weekend cruiser ?

Ill list a few things you can do and what i would suggest to do at first-
Exhaust - no added horsepower but is pretty much a must have if you have a muscle car.
Gears - 4.10 Manual 3.73 Auto ... even with an manual you might not want 410s if its a daily driver(dd) but it wont add hp just make your car feel and be faster.
Suspension and tires - if you want to have a solid car at the track suspension mods and some nice new rubber are a must have because with the added power and gear ratio you wont be able to keep that thing from spinning....

Hope this helps keep asking questions

I didnt realize you had a roush427 ... in that case a good custom tune and new pulley might add some good power.... and i think they are all manuals so 410s would be good if its not a DD

I almost bought one of those 427r's myself. I talked to roush directly and they advised me that if you do anything to that car then the warranty they provide is gone. roush does have an upgraded pulley and tune but it voids the warranty. your best but is to talk to roush directley

hey thanks for the great info, I appreciate it.... The car has alot of power, I was thinking the 4:10's would be good because the car is hurting just a little on the bottom of the gears, but you dont suggest running them if I am going to drive the car regularly? Would it be wise to make sure I dont void the warranty?Do people have many problems with thiscar? I live in vegas by the way, I just want to have a fast street car, by fast I mean I dont want to get pulled or even side by side with srt8's or another stang, I relize I wont be the fastest but I want to be faster than most, dont we all.....

first off, you are starting with a great base car.....427r is no slouch,.as far as what you can do,,,there is allot you can do, but if warranty is a concern then you have to remain frugal with your mods. (Do mods that if something happens, you can change back) some ideas.....first
change pulley and get a custom tune that gets away from that conservative tune roush has on your car. believe me there is allot of power in your car that is not even tapped into yet. if warranty, then again...get the tune at least and a better CAI intake on the end. The 427r's around here, all have the restricitve air flow box. find an intake that will eliminate that then custom tune it...
on another note, if you dont mind me asking what type of deal did you get...around here the 427r are going from 49k used to 62k new vert....nice car have fun with it

Looked at a 427r. The dealership in Luray, VA has 15 on the lot ready to go. I wouldn't touch a damn thing on that 50k + car.
