Default Problems with Street Scene Grill

Hi All,

I recently tried to install a Street Scene grill (plastic center foglight mount grill, P/N 950-73595) on my 2007 GT coupe and ran into a problem. The instructions with the grill say that there's a tight fit between the driver's side foglight and the body. In my instance, there's more than a tight fit - it really doesn't fit all all. When I installed the grill, the foglight is pushed down at the back so that its aiming at the sky and its impossible to adjust. I suppose I could remedy it by grinding out a recess in the bodywork, but I'm a little reluctant to do that. Anybody else run into this problem?

Yes,I had the same problem.POOR engineering.I had to grind an area by the drivers fog to get it to fit without touching the fog. Also be careful with those tabs, they break off very easily. It's a shame that the person or persons involved in this grilles developmenthad they're head up they're a**.The first grilles were warped on the bottom etc.,etc. .Wish someone would build one that's right in all areas.

That's exactly why the Street Scene Speed Grille is much better. It is steel mesh that's powdercoated and the fitment is much better. Never had any issues with mine, and installation took about 20 minutes. Plus, the speed grille looks much better than the plastic one.

Thanks for the advice, but since I already have had one bad experience with Street Scene products I don't think I'll be rewarding them with more of my business.

I had to do the same thing, it does state in the instructions thatmodifications may berequired. Took about 1 minute with an air saw to notch and then the grille fit right in. If that is your only gripe then I would say that is mild compared to many other aftermarket parts out there which are much more of a headache to install.

I have the Street Scene V6 to center fogs grill. It fit OK and
the Fogs just clear the center support. They had to make the
fogs bulge out in front to get them to fit without cutting.
Bugg eyes looking from the side but OK from the front.
There was no side view pic on the website or I might have
thought twice.[:@]
