Default install?

Ok so I'm most likely getting the non-intercooled whipple supercharger. I heard that I can keep the warranty IF I have a ford dealer install it? How much for the install by a dealership though, I heard everything to be installed through a dealership was more expensive...such as with gears. So, I just have 6k miles on my car and really wanna keep that warranty for the rest of it. Any idea on price for install? I found the best price for the kit at brothersperformance.com at $4429. Anyone know a better price that I can get it for????

if the dealership has done whipples before, i would
estimate the labor at $800 - $900

If your dealership claims your warranty will remain valid, get that in writing otherwise youre out of luck.

Default RE: install?

I live 10 miles from Whipple, Ijust put on 10 PSI HO on my 07 5 speed automatic (Ford will not warranty) oh well. Whipple quoted me $1000 to install I did it myself no problems, your dealer should not charge more that $800 since they don't have to install the intercoller. I spoke to Art Whipple, he explained that Whipple has agreement with Ford. Ford will warranty none intercooled S/C with 7 PSI on 5 speed manual only. Ford will only give you 12 months warrantybetter than nothing. Ford will not warranty any Whipple on a automatic tranny afraid it will blow up. Right now I am the only 07 automatic in the country running 10 PSI HO. Whipple wanted to see what it would do on the dyno at 95degrees 422RWHP and 404 ft/lb. of torque. Whipple wants to redyno in the winter time when the temp is around 70 to 75 degrees he fells it should put out about 450RWHP then. Good luck with Whipple S/C it is going to be hard to wipe the grin on you face evertime you drive you stang.

07 Tungsten Grey automatic, Eibach Pro system plus, Whipple S/C 10PSI HO, Mac Axleback, FRPP X-Pipe, Coast Driveline Aluminum Driveshaft, to many mods to list.
