I ordered them also but have not received them yet.
Is the white lettering that bad to scratch it off?

I took the lettering off mine with a fingernail. No scratches resulted.

I think most people who paint the bezels paint them on the inside, just to make them opaque. If you're painting the outside, make sure you prep them well first to get the paint to stick. You need to make sure and get the shine off the plastic before priming (with a plastic primer) and painting. Clearcoating is also a must since they'll get a lot of abuse from sun and dirt.

Good luck.

if the bezels are already black you shouldnt need to prime. just wet sand it, and scuff it up. paint it, clearcoat if u want the glossy look and PRESTO!

Have them on my stang. Just take your time with a fingernail and they will come off. Painted my with "Trim Black" spray can. Picked it up at Autozone. Has a slight shine to it but not real glossy. Didn't sand them, just wiped them off with some paint thinner and shot them. Let them dry a day or so before you install them.

Hmmmmm. Mine will need to be painted?
For the $50 I paid, they will be going back to Moss
if I have to paint them before install. The description
stated that they were black and other colors were
also available. Well of course they are available
if you have to paint them. Lost again..[:@]

I just got mine from Ninosport. I used a very small dab of "goo be gone" remover and the AVS logo slid off very easily.

I didn't spend enough time looking over mine so I just went over the AVS with a magic marker!
Looking back I should have sanded them and painted them flat black to match the tailight panel.
