Default Moleskin on 07

I dont know if anyone knows this yet but on an 07 there is no originalvelcro on the peice that you pull out. Instead there are two blocks further down the door with a fabric on it. I installed moleskin in my car and there is still little streak marks on the window. I don't know if these blocks are on 05's and 06's?

So what I am saying is I don't think it is worth it to buy the Moleskin for your 07.

Just dont tint them on 07s?
What a loss of a godd mod.
A car that you just cant seem
to fix it where the tint wont get
scratched. Again, WTF Ford.
Are you reeading the forums, the
best place for customer feedback.
Oh to have my hands on that customer
satisfaction form just one more time....

I used to get the streak marks on my '07 prior to tinting, but after the moleskin. So far, after tinting my windows, I haven't any issues with scratching or streaks.

Of course, that probably all just changed... (Shoulda kept my mouth shut.)

I havent tinted yet though.
But I can see the streaks on my window.
It might not be enough to scratch my tint I dont know. I hope not I'm getting tint soon. But everyone is saying that its the velcro that is scratching it and there was no velcro on my car. Did you have velcro on your car?

I tinted without the moleskin, but had it ordered and on the way. 5 days later I rolled down the windows, installed moleskin, and have been rolling my windows up and down and haven't had a problem. There was no velcro on mine.

There was no felt on mine either. However, thats the problem, there is no felt. The rubber strip that rubs along the window gets dirt and such traped between it and the window and thats what causes the scratches. The moleskin prevents that.

OK, WTF is "moleskin"? I am guessing by the context of the thread, that it is something to protect the tint???

It is worth it.. because without it, it will scratch.. and if installed correctly.. doesn't streak.

I have had it on for 8 months (in the HOT Florida sun) and not a mark on my tint.
