Grrr Keyed
My baby got keyed earlier tonight. A nice big line on the hood stemming the width of it. Ive barely had my GT for a month and i already have to take it to the shop to get the paint fixed. Anyone know what an estimate for a keyline may cost?

It depends on how deep the scratch is. But a bit of advice (if you'll accept it)...if the scratch is all white and not too deep, you should go to an automotive store and buy something called polishing compound. This is not the phony scratch remover stuff you see on TV, but an abrasive compound that will polish out a lot of minor scratches. It goes on and comes off a lot like wax, although you have to work a lot harder at it to make it work. Apply it 3 or 4 times.
Should cost about $5 and it's worth a shot before going to a shop. They will attempt something similar (although they will use a buffing wheel). If that fails, they will need to repaint. Now you're talking some real money. I would guess upwards of $500...maybe more.

It is the lowest form of deviant that would key a car, like stomping on a puppy, or murder, its like the first,or second step on the path to becoming a serial killer. Those folks need help.
