CRASHED THE STANG
I'd be freaked out about how the tires came off the rim like that. Maybe they rolled under if the car went sideways? Almost looks like the tires might have blown 'cause there were some nails / bolts / debris in the road, and that could have been what sent you out of control. I'd be making a lot of noise to Ford over this...
If it wasn't a tire malfunction then it could have been that the tires were under-inflated.
But why would both front and rear tires come off the rims at only 80??? Was one the result of the crash?

are they new tires? or are theyy stocks and i didnt see what year your car was.. but if they were old, and worn,.. they could have been low tread.. possibly to the wear bars, if not belts showing, and htis can easily cause a blow out.. the little reflectors in the road could set it off..
do you remember the condition of the tires?... this is why we (i work at discount tire) always insist that you get tires when its time.. its very unsafe.. luckily no one got hurt or killed.. sometime we even give tires away if we have to.. and tell ppl that they need to buy tires.. wether its from us or anyone else..
ppl dont understand the safety issue.. glad everything is ok..
hope this helps any..

Sounds to me like "not enough tire pressure"...
As the increased side force of changing lanes abruptly occurs, there is a side presure on the tires which could (if there was not inflated properly) cause a separation of the tire from the rim...
Result: a blown tire!!!
What do you guys think???
