Build my Mustang!!! Your input counts! Part 1
Experiment time!! This will be ran in conjunction with the same poll on the Black Mustang Club site, by the way. I know it shouldn't matter what anybody else thinks about what you do to your own vehicle as long as you like it, but this should be fun.
I've decided that for certain options on my S197, that I'm going to post up some polls and go with whatever wins. I am going to go ahead and say that I do retain the right to decide against the popular vote, but I seriously doubt I'll have to since I won't be putting any options up that will be unwanted on my car. These polls will have everything from Wheels and Shifter ***** to Body Kits and Superchargers so keep an eye out!
Some mild performance parts have already been decided upon and/or purchased (Tuner, CAI, Pulleys, Shifter, Axle-Backs, 3.73's), but there will be other, more serious ones later down the line that you will get a chance to vote on, about the time that my car hits 30,000 miles (currently on 15,000 approx.). I'm not planning on rushing through all this stuff either so some polls may stay up longer than others. I'll leave each poll up at least 3 weeks and a maximum of 3 months, just so I can have some time between upgrades to get them bought and installed.
Just to go ahead and get it out of the way, the color of the car will not be changing, and there will be no vinyls going on the car (stripes, running horses, etc...).
Well, I think that's pretty straightforward, so let's get right into it! First category is style of rim that will be going on my S197. I have 5 choices and I know they're rather limited, but I have a particular style in mind that I like, and rims make up ALOT of the appearance of a car. All of these will be 18" unless I change my mind. I'd like the look of 20" but I don't want to add 70+ lbs to the car with no kind of performance gain attributed to it. Rims will be staggered with a 18x8.5 or 9 up front and a 18x10 in the rear, except with the GT4's. Feel free to post recommendations on tire brands and/or styles, I will take that into consideration as well.
[align=center]Also, the car will have a Steeda G-Trac suspension later on that will lower it approximately 1" - 1 1/4"

i voted foose silvers. they look good on any color and fit the body style very well.
1) I'm tired of seeing black wheels.
2) The Torque-style look like every other Mustang Bullitt rims.
4) FR500-style wheels look best on the 99-04 body.

I dident vote because i see nothing in your options that will look good. See im a throwback kind of guy that mixes classic looks with current ones. The Mach 1 look is by far the best to me. The stripped hood and deck lid with the rear spoiler paited blackwith the chin spoiler is superior as far as exterior cosmetics goes. Mix that with Mach 1 20' wheels and you have a great mix of classic and current day looks. This makes a true balance of old school with todays bling.
Not really planning on changing the exterior too much, if I add a body kit or hood or anything, it will be rather mild.
You know, I don't know why I didn't think about those rims as well... think I'll add them...
Thanks for the input [sm=smiley20.gif]

Rims should alway compliment the body of the car. Its very hard to choose rims for a car that you dont know what body kit it will get later on down the road. That being said, the Mach 1s arent my favorite, but theyre also not as plentiful and common as the rest, so I picked them simply for that. If youre going for a clean old school look I think those will go great.
I voted for the Silver Foose's. Saw them on a black car, very sharp... Not to **** anyone off, but my least favorite feature of the Mach-1 Mustangsare the rims...[sm=sorry.gif]
