Anyone have these shifters?

RE: Anyone have these shifters?
I had the Hurst. Changed to the MGW. The fit, finish, and quality of the MGW is worth the money. The Hurst did not come with any sound deadening or heat isolation materials. I have it for sale in the Parts for Sale section of the forums.

RE: Anyone have these shifters?
I installed my Hurst last week and couldn't be happier. The throw is great and I like the fact it is a little notchy. I actually love the look more than anything, but I guess it can be duplicated with any of the shifters. I read a few post about the heat shield available with the MGW, and I found out the hard way just how hot it gets underneath the shifter boot, I installed the rubber grommet that holds the boot in place to the arm upside down. When I removed it and installed it correctly, it had already melted the surface. It was over 100 degrees last week and I'm sure that contributed to it.

Well I only found the mgw shifter at the mgwltd...site for $295. Does any other place sell them cheaper? Also where can I order a hurst ball for the top of it? Like what Tacobill did with his shifter. Thanks

I've got the MGW and recommend it to anyone who wants a smooth and concise shift. As far as putting a Hurst ball on it, you can order the MGW with a standard or metric thread which should help. Auto Zone and Advanced Auto Parts carry some Hurst *****, they usually come with an assortment of heli-coil type inserts that will fit just about any threaded stud. I had a buddy paint my pistol grip with the Hurst Logo on it, I really like it. MGW's quality and service is excellent.

Screw the MGW. It's too complicated...adjustable throw and height!?! IT'S A SHIFTER FOR GOODNESS SAKES!!!
Get a Hurst. Everyone who looks into my car comments on it. Everyone knows a Hurst.

pro 5.0 and the tri-ax are the same shifter, compare the pics side by side, or the lawsuit filed against 5.0 for takin the steeda design. There nice shifters, I use the Tri-ax. But I still say +1 to MGW they have everything covered from smooth and precise to adjustable throw to heat/sound deadening.
