Default Buying a new 07' GT

Hey guys,

My first post here on the forums. I have been hanging around here for a while before I registered, and post a decent amount on SVTPerformance.

Anyways, a local dealer has offered to get me an 07' Mustang GT at invoice minus the current $1,500 incentive. Seems to be the only dealer in town willing to offer anything more than the factory incentives. Does this seem like a good buy to you guys?

For instance, base Mustang GT Deluxe:
MSRP: $25,695
Invoice: $24,000
Incentive: $1,500
Sales price: $22,500 + tax, title, destination.

What are your thoughts?

If he has it in the right color and , if you're lucky, with the right options than you gotta get it!
Even getting just invoice is rare for a GT, so you're getting one heck of a deal!
Do they have too many GT's on their lot or what?

Thanks for the feedback, gang. It really sounded like a fair deal because as I said, no other dealer in town is willing to knock off any more than what the factory incentives would do.

Actually, he only has one on his lot, but he's willing to find exactly what I'm looking for (color, options, etc.) through his dealer network. Doesn't look like there's much to think about (other than figuring out color, options, etc.).

If anyone is interested in some info on the dealer, I'd be happy to provide it. He's located in the Cleveland area (Mayfield to be exact).

That is a pretty bare bones GT at that MSRP. My MSRP was $30,980. At any rate, a GT is still a GT. It's just will you be happy without the bells and whistles?

If your not putting any money down then with TT&L you rwill drive off the lot at MSRP. thats exactly what i did. using my ford X plan. plus rebates. and just as soon as you drive off the lot it the car will loose 3K in vaule. but IMO well worth it.

What options are you getting?

I'm still bitter...for that MSRP all my mods would be paid off, PLUS nitrous, installed, with all the toys! grrrr.......
