Default Question about GTs

Hey guys,

My neighboor has a newer GT and I saw on the trim it says "GT/A" on the door. Then last week I saw another one with a simalar paint job that said "GT/SC"

What do these all mean? and how many are there?

GTA was an old badge from back in the day that meant GT Automatic. The GT/SC could have meant GT SuperCharged, or if you made a mistake and it was actually GT/CS, then it meant GT California Special.

I was at my Ford dealer last night (seeing if there were any new Mustangs in the lot) and there was one called a "Mustang Sally" package, which was identical to the V6 Pony package, but with a *pink* rocker panel stripe, and the pony emblem had a pink ribbon designed around it, instead of the usual tri-bars.

There are so, so many different variations for our cars.

Sales are getting stale, so the marketing people in conjunction with the local dealerships devise ways to get more cars sold, thus the SDS(San Diego Special) Heat(Miami area) Sally(aimed at women) and I'm sure there are many more regionally. Usually it's the V-6 models(because they're about 70% of sales) that are the models subjected to being labelled as "specials". The more Mustangs sold, the cheaper(and more plentiful) the aftermarket parts will become.

somehow I don't think that a logical, classic american car would want to have internet language on it

I guess it's very difficult to know aht is stock and what is aftermarket. So in 30 years will anyone have a totally stock Mustang? Look for collectors to start buying!
