4to 5 thousand should be ok. But beware, synthetic oil will get very very thin when used. I have seen it blow by the rear main when run hard. Yes, it was due for an oil change. Had 4 thousand mileson the oil.

Dont even run 1 mile with that Royal Crap -.-. It does not meet the latest Oil Standards... Go with Redline 5w-20 hands down the best 5w-20 out there. If not then Just get mobile 1 full syn.

I once switched to RP and it was vaporizing or getting past seals. The oil level would drop 1 qt in 3000 miles. Switched back to conventional oil and the used stopped. Didn't leak a drop or us any since. This was in my 1997 F 150. So, if you use it, keep an eye on the oil level.
