I have an 07 satin silver GT. But the very last thing i would do is deface it with poser *** raider S H I T.
You don't have to be a dick about it.
It's his car, let him do what he wants. If you don' thave anything to contribute to the thread, dont post.
Opinions were asked. I gave mine, just because you did not lke it does not make me a dick. I was truthfull...deal with it tiger.
He said opinions/suggestions to help. Not flame.

Once again i was truthfull. If the truth offends or scares you reading this thread may be offensive, i suggest some lighter reading for the light hearted.

All I got to say is the Raiders fans are a loyal bunch and make for some great entertainment (even when the Hawks are whooping them).
Are you serious? I have not seen loyal raider fans since plunket ans alzado graced the field. Holy crap grow the hell up and do some reasearch man, seriously. Soon after the hayday of the raiders which was the late 70's to mid 80's 9 out of 10 raider fans have been band wagoning wanabe players that worship the colors and the logo, not the team. Please grow up.

He didn't ask for people to come in here and be truthful. He said he needs some recommendations for Raider things. Once again, if you dont contribute to the post, don't do it.

Here's my contribution. Maybe a paint scheme like this?

I'd say do the extra wide black hood, then put the Raiders logo that's shown on the door onto your hood. You don't need to write "RAIDERS" all over it!

I know the dealers have come out with some "special" versions to boost sales (Mustang Sally, Miami Heat, etc.) - these have done very well because they are off the lot pretty quickly from what I have seen.

I have a Silver/Black GT vert and want to make it into an "Oakland Raiders special". (it is stock now)

My thoughts so far were:

Black stripes (any feedback?)
Skull/crossbones fake gas cap overlay from ebay

Any feedback/opinions or mods/graphics you would recommend? - Remember - the theme is Oakland Raiders - Thanks for any feedback.
My evaluation is that there is a modicum of creativity in making a "special" version of a popular car. I'd hesitate to do it myself (OK, I did carry a 1969-like tri-bar pony on the grill, and still have the "Mach" reflective stripes on the back of the car), but suggest that accepting ideas from others dilutes that creativity.Your car, it should be your self-expression.

I like to see a well-done Raiders vehicle, even though I abhor the underlying "I'm a mean dude (even if I'm not, I can pretend, can't I)" sentiment. And even though the drivers usually wear a scowl rather than a smile.

It doesn't usually hurt anyone (in San Diego a couple of Raiders fans stabbed a Chargers fan and are now in prison because of that "Raiders-like" behavior), and acquiring the characteristics of a perceived powerful model by emulating its signs and symbols is magic as old as man.

Wow - thanks for all the great suggestions. I really didn't mean for this to turn into a pro/anti Raiders thing. Like I said in my post, I have a Silver/Black vert that I wanted to do some appearance mods on - nothing "over the top" - just some things like the special editions the dealers have done with some of the cars to boost sales. I guess it works because from what I have seen, the cars are sold very quickly. I am talking about things like the Mustang Sally edition or the Miami Heat edition. Just thought since my car is Silver/Black, I could do a Raiders color theme (nothing pro or con the team). I want it to be subtle. So far I was thinking:

The shift **** in this post
Raiders logo or skull/crossbones on the fake gas cover,
the black/silver pony on the grille
Black stripes (not sure what kind)
Silver hood scoop with black lettering (also subtle - maybe just "4.6")
Black spoilers (front and rear)

Any other "subtle" accents - again, something like a dealer would do. Subtle is the key word and mostly just a color scheme. I'll try to find some pics of what I am talking about - actually some of the cars here could already qualify with the shift ****.

Thanks again to all for your suggestions - just trying to have some fun with this.

So far I am thinkim

And that's the idea, isn't it?
I have an obscene amount of fun with my Stang.
I actually feel guilty at times having this much fun.

BTW, my friend's a huge Raider fan, has been since very young.
His '05 v6 stang is black with white rocker panel stripes, and a black and grey (silver) interior.
I had that **** made and sent it to him without his knowledge.
He was quite suprised when he open the package.

Then you have not looked hard enough, or taken a journey into the Black Hole.I myself am a die hard Raider Fan always have been always will be. And it does not matter where they play so do not even go down that road. I find it funny how so many other team's have moved to new cities over the years but they always seem to bring that up about the Raiders. True Raider Fans like myself do not care where the team plays. I would suggest you take some of the advice you are so quick to try and give out.

As for the reference to the Stabbings this type of things has happened in Philly as well as a few other stadiums funny how that never gets talked about though. Gee Wiz one bad thing happens by some drunken idiots and the entire Raider Fan base gets the rep. Well that's ok we will take it since you all are so free to throw it at us.

Richard
