Default Pony center cap

Hi ,

I want to remove the center caps from my magsthat say fordand replace them with the new pony ones I just picked up, I would like to know if I have to remove my wheels to pop off the original ones or is there a way to take them off without removing the wheels.

Thanks

well if you want to keep the ford ones, probably not. if you dont care about them, you could probably break them, they are just plastic. just be careful not to mess up your wheels! haha.

Thanks for the feedback, I decided to take the wheels off and save the ford caps, the new caps look great! it took me about 1 hour

Cheers

sorry I didn't catch this earlier.

You can just loosen them with a thin screw driver or metal spatula.

Did you get the Pony caps or spinners?

I pulled the wheels off to switch to spinners. That was a pain, but I didn't want to scratch up the wheels.

I just took mine off and put the pony caps on with a thin screwdriver. Scuffed the rims but only small scuffs.

I've thought about doing the same thing. Can I ask 2 questions: 1) where did you get the Pony caps and 2) do the old one simply push out from behind or how did you remove them? Thank you very much.

I got mine for 35 bucks from a member here and once youy loosen it with a thin screw driver it pops out and pop the new one in. ONly do the screwdriver if you dont mind some minor scuffs because i did scuff around the cap area but it not too bad.
