I just ordered the pioneer avic d3. I am going to do the install myself, just wondering where anyone is putting the nav antenna. I want it hidden as much as possible but still get signal.

I put mine (along with the XM antenna) on the back deck. The gps ant. in the corner and the XM dead center

I reached as far as I could under the dash, and found a steel, round bar. It didn't appear to have anything metal above it, so I stuck it there. I'm installing a satelite reciever in a couple of weeks, so I figured, if it didn't work, I was taking the whole thing out again anyway....well, so far, it's worked perfectly. I think I'll leave it there.

Tucked mine on the top of the dash but as far forward asI could get it, in the middle. Works perfectly.

Only trouble I have is with some niggley software issues on the Pioneer GPS system [:@]
