It's not a bad unit, as long as you dont mind taking the map disc out to play a cd. I have the Avic-D2, performance wise the same but I had to add a DVD player for movies. The D3 is BY FAR the best double din navigation on the market for the price.

Get a Aviz z1/z2 and never have to worry about nav disks, dvd player, tv tuner and it has IPOD and 10 gig music library to boot! But its costs a couple hundred more

On the Avic D3, can you (passenger) enter navigation instructions while driving, and if not, is there a work around for doing so?

***Nevermind, I found everything I need at avic411.com. Btw, there is a hack for this. Thanks for that web address!***

i was hoping someone on here had one just to give me a honest opinion of what they though.from reading up on the avic411.com site, there are alot of unhappy people with the z1/2,alot of them say the d3 is better besides just the dvd player being tied up.maybe its time to do the ipod thing.
