and now, thanks to ratnacage.....

3. Chrome or gunmetal CTR's

I'm having a blast looking at different tire/rim options, but it's also exhausting, and I wish I could make a decision.

By the way, the reason I generally don't like chrome rims is that they reflect like mirrors. To me, this takes away from the rim stucture beauty because you don't really see it with all the sparkling and "bling". The chrome CTR's look really good though. I'm always afraid that the gunmetal will look gray against my black car and clash. Any thoughts? Anyone seen a black stang with the chrome or gunmetal CTR's?
Thanks for the complements.

Mine are chrome. With a broadside picture it's hard to see, but the rear wheels have about a 2 inch lip.

With a black car, you almost can't go wrong no matter what color/finish you choose. I don't want to recommend one or the other because rims are such a personal thing (weird, I know), but....I think the anthracite CT-R's with the chome/polished lip (not sure which it is) would look killer on a black car. Try photoshopping the my picture to see if that combo works (I don't know how old you are, but if you don't know how to photoshop, grab a neighborhood kid (or your own) - they'll know what to do.

I have 255/45/18s in the front and 285/40/18's in the rear. These are the exact sizes on the GT500. All Nitto 555's. I'd buy them again, and probably will once I burn these sucka's up. I think they look great.... could use a drop afterwards though.

Rat, why didn't you go with the 255/45/18 Nittos up front?

I am really liking the CTR's!

I also like MTAS's bullitts! Sweet Stang, MTAS!

I'm not sure I like the deep dish lip on the front though. I like the way the front CTR's look. ...classy up front, mean and hossy in the rear.

295x45x18 Nitto 555s in rear and 255s in front. A great retro muscle car look.

I have stock 18" bullits and if I get x10's for the back I think I'm going to keep the stock ones for the front and maybe put a set of DRs on the extra pair from the back because I'm not a fan of the dish on the front either. The 295/45 on the back look tremendous, however.

I am running 295/30/20 on the rear, same height as stock.I think any 265,275,295 is going to stick out past the top of the body on the rear.My 255's that were on the rear were about flush with the top of the body.My son has 275/40/18 0n his stang and they stick out about 1/4 inch.
