I have 4.10's and I love them. You will lose some top end but who really goes 150+. If you have a stick car I'd go with the 4.10's if its automatic i'd go with the 3.73s.. Have fun with your stang
You don't lose top end, you lose top speed. You GAIN a hell of a lot of top end acceleration

Perfect gears:
Manual = 4.30s
Auto = 4.10s

If you are going to do it, do it right. If you have forced induction, then disregard my recommendations.

eh only prob would be figuring out which gears are in whatever used third member you came across...I'd say go the trak-lok and gear swap route for your 7.5 but then I remember a thread mentioning someone snapping a 7.5 axle with a set of mickey drags...the 31 splines in the 8.8 can take hella abuse...I guess if you can find a reliable source that can tell you exactly which gears the 8.8 in question has, go for it...don't know where to start, though...

thanks i believed i was referred last time to newtakeoff.com or something like that which had gts with those take off gears but they were alot of money and im not sure if they'll work properly, so i was thinking of getting it from ford if i had too. I just cant stand the one wheel only grabbing to the ground, theres alot of potholes around here and the car loses alot of traction when that happens, but if it had the two wheels it would grab better

Thanx 4 replying
Ionly need my car 4 a street race, Itsa manual !
First Off Street Racing is Stupid... But If you must I am going to say that if you put 4.10 on, it will make your traction suck, and you will need some sticky tires, plus it will kill your launch when Roll Racing, you are better off working on performanceand adding tracktion with Upper and lower Control arms, Adj Pan hard bars and add some handling mods to get you out of those sticky stituations when an Family in a Minivan pulls out onto the road where you are racing, I'd hate to see you kill an innocent person. Rant off
Please Be Safe
