Whats the diffrence between a catback & a mid pipe system?

Hey guys, just wondering if u get any hp gain if u install a mid pipe or catback ? if so, how much?

catback no, o/r midpip 5-7 HP maybe

some axlebacks may actually cut a ft/lb or two, but then again the weight reduction could partially compensate for this...those stockers are damn heavy...
