I have been torn all evening trying to decide to tell this story and finally i decided yes! I was at work today and like i have said in similar posts i am able to see my car from my desk! I happened to go outside to check the parking lot for screws and nails (I work at a custom woodworking mill. There happens to be a water ice stand the next building over from ours and many of the local kids ride their bikes over to the stand! My boss has a 2000 camaro vert and always parks beside me. As i was outside i see 5 kids riding their bikes to the stand and one of them tried to go between our cars! A rather chubby kid on a ten speed. I was starring him down like a hawk all the way across the lot and just as i started to yell "Hey kid slow down" He clipped my bosses mirror and turned right into his driver door! The bike hit the door and bounced right over my qtr panel! Totally cleared my car! The poor kid ate my bosses window and broke his mirror! I went a running over expecting the worst but to my surprise no damage to my car but the kid was pretty banged up. Looked like he chipped a tooth and his left face cheek was all swolen. My boss came out and totally flipped out! He brought the kid to more tears! We called his mother to come get him and she was nice enough to cut a check for 500 dollars to my boss for damages and left a number incase it costs more! Then the mom rips into the chubby little boy and rips him a new one! I am just glad my car was saved! I felt bad for the kid but ..... if it were me when i was a kid my father would have done much worse that yell and scream! Just thought i would share!

Was your concerned for the kid at all? Sounds like a a hole. However I gues I would have been pissed also.

 

Damn kids......no respect for anything! Glad to see your baby is OK.

 

At least the chubby kid knew not to hit your stang....

 

Kids today don't seem to have any respect for other peoples property.

 

That is why i was not sure to post.....my first reaction was is my car ok, the second was dang look at my bosses car, the third was let me check my car again, fourth, dang that kid is messed up, fifth is my car ok? sixth. man that kid is messed up!

 

Although I would not be very pleased about the kid, I would let the mom know that you guys appreciated how she acted in a responsible way.
