Default story for the day

on the highway going to the mall; 2 lane, one other car in the right lane, im in the left going 85ish about to pass the car in the right lane and a bird starts walking out into the middle of the highway. its in the middle of my lane, no time/chance to get into right lane because of other car... i honked to try to get it to move, it didnt so i tried straddling it and BAM!! take a peek in the rearview and all i see is a cloud of feathers hahaha. i thought nothing of it until i remembered another post from a guy on here that straddled something and shattered his bumper so i got paranoid. when i got to the mall i got out and checked. my lower 'grille' was slightly popped out of the clips on the driver side so i just popped it back in, made sure everything else was fine then had a laugh and a half. what a day! haha

yeah, i guess i could take it as one of my 9 lives. i thought it went well because my friend obliterated a seagull that was flying across the interstate. he hit it with his windshield and it shot like 50 feet up into the air and there were feathers everywhere. when we turned around we saw some thing splat drop straight down onto the pavement lol.

85ish? Where do you live that the speed limit is 85ish? OOPS! Sorry. I forget that we all are beyond the law. Call me an old coot but I typically speed ONLY at about 5 over the posted limit. Here's a concept: if you were driving closer to the speed limit perhaps you could have avoided the bird or dog or cat or person.

Sorry to sound a bit cocky but had it been a person it would have been an entirely different issue.

I wonder if the bird had his feathers numbered, for just such an occasion?
