RE: Steeda cowl hood
I did not ask for another hood, looking at my hood you can see I spent a good deal on custom paint. Therefore I kept it and aside from not being able to use a few of their other products I like the hood. Fits pretty good aside from some small inconveniences.

RE: Steeda cowl hood
I bought a steeda hood from a guy at a NMRA race He said he made them for steeda. The hood shakes so bad about 80mph I put hood pins in it to keep it from flying off. I think the company was Boss. I later found out Keanen makes the hoods for Steeda. A friend got a 3" cowl from Harwood. It fits and lools great. No shaking

RE: Steeda cowl hood
Vista 7 I have the same hood and have to same problem. I would like to see pics of what you have done.
Thanks |
RE: Steeda cowl hood
I've heard bad things about the Steeda hoods, which this thread is reiterating.
Definately stick to cervinis or better yet, trufiber. Ill always stick to my claim that steeda is a designer-'for the masses' products company, not a true 'quality' company for true enthusiasts. |
RE: Steeda cowl hood
Wow, I'm glad I read this one. My next mod was gonna be the Steeda Cowl Hood ($499.). But now I'm gonna have to look closer at the Cervini Cowl, or Tru Fiber...https://mustangforums.com/upfiles/smiley/smiley20.gif

RE: Steeda cowl hood
TruFiber makes both a 2" and a 3" cowl hood that is a perfect bolt on fit for our cars. The fit is perfect, and there is no bowing or lifting at speed, and hood pins are not required on their hoods(all are speed tested to 140mph), but can be used if you choose. http://alliance247.com/category.php?...fe8cc178d33c6b
