Default How do you clean Mufflers?

What is a good way to clean up mufflers? I got a set of MACs, and they have been wet for a while...I don't want to use a green scrubber, as they will scratch the metal. Maybea warm rag? And then buff it out? Thanks.

I've used SOS pads (steel wool with detergent built in) on stainless exhaust components with decent success, but I don't remember if that scratched. I never really cared if it was show quality, just wanted it shiny.I think it would be much less likely to scratch than those green scrubbers.

Go to walmart and get any kind of chrome/stainless steel cleaner. Never dull is good, comes in a can and looks like cotton.

+1 on the neverdull. It has my tips looking like chrome. I polish with it once a week.

I don't know about cleaning the mufflers since the FRPP Stingers have the mufflers a bit less noticeable, but Iwash the chrome tips the same time i wash the car and i've used my wax on them. Keeps them cleaner longer than w/o the wax.
