Default SLP Loudmouths

if you ran open tail pipes (no mufflers) with a 3.5in tip is that basically the same thing as a slp loudmouth kit?

If slp loudmouths are emmission legal then would just running straight pipes with cats be legal as well?

What would be the reason for me to spend 3-4 hundred dollars then to spend 40-50? Am I buying a name?

SLP LM's are not just a pipe, they are resonators. I can remember about a year ago someone did this exact same thing and said he took them off because he didn't like the way they sounded. And I don't know of anyone who doesn't like the SLP LM's (with their cats still in place ) so I'm guessing they sound quite a bit different.

I would describe the sound as...blotchy...it didn't sound good. I'd say go for the LMs, I love them.
