Default too many modding questions

Hey guys thanks for reading. I got a dilemma so far I got a CAI and tune, just last week got the ford racing x pipe. I don’t know what to do next. take in mind I want to get my car re tuned since the programer I have has one 87 Oct tune and two 93's (bought it used from another member on here from the east coast) so I currently run the 87 all the time since I am California have no access for 93oct, I have mixed it with 100oct just to try the tune but it gets expensive, and I wanna get a few mods out of the way before I pay for another tune.
here is the dilemma
Long tubes are out of the question since in California
I read on here that if you don’t have long tubes the delete plates don’t do nothing for you if anyone here has them without long tubes please let me know if its worth the mod,
gears (4.10s) are on the list but I don’t need tunning for those right?
also want axle backs but I know those don’t make any power and not sure if you need tunning for those I believe I don’t........

k well im not to familiar with cali laws but why dont u get some

[ol][*]frpp axle backs, who cares if they dont add anything, i bet you 1000 bucks when u put them on u will be glad u got em[*]get new gears, either 3.73 or 4.10( personal preference)[*]aluminum driveshaft mayb?[*]get a supercharger haha. [/ol]
for gears you will need to put those into ur tune so ur spedometer isnt off but thats it. exaust wont affect it.

For the gears, if you change them, you still need to use the tuner to set the ECU so it knows what gears you have to correct the speedometer.

I would contact a tuner like Brenspeed and get a 91 tune.

Dwisforme05 - Unfortnuantely in CA, it is illegal to have longtubes, and when it is time to get smogged, it will fail.

I can't remember which brand, unless some have come out recently, there is only one brand of Shorties that are legal because they went through and got CARB certified for our car.

The JBA Shorty Headers are the ONLY Smog Legal headers. And although the HP gain with them is minimal you will gain about 20Ft Lbs of torque worth it in my book.

Like was said above get some nice Axle Back mufflers. Again most say no gain is had but you will gain a slight hp maybe 2-5 if your lucky.

Get your tune first and that will help you a lot then go with some gears. 3.73 if you have the Auto Trans 4.10 if Manual. Get in touch with Doug at B A M A and I am certain he will sell you a 91 Octane tune.

Never been afan of UDP always screws with the alternator output.
