Anyones Emergency brake rattling? I notice it does on mine, and I pull it towards the driver's side and the noise stops. (2006 GT, Manual.) If so, is it an easy fix and how would I go about doing it so I don't have to take it to the dealership?

get underneath and tighten the bolts/nuts up

 

Mine does it too on occassion. It started when the dealer had to pull the transmission to fix a small leak. IfI grab the handle it stops. I am taking it in for a 30K check up and to get the third brake light fixed. The nice policeman who pulled me over said it doesn't work and I beleive him. Especially since the dealer told me the last time it was only a burned out bulb. If I get any satisfaction I will let you know.

I need to dig around, but, the original install video for the MGW shifter had instructions in it on how to use a small amount of the dynomat that came with the kit, to stop the emergency brake rattle.....showed how to remove the brake handle, apply the dynomat, and reinstall....

I'll see if I can find it for you....
