Default Heater floor control not working

when the heater is on in the floor position, it blows out the dash, just the SAME as the defog position, one position to the right (NOT defrost, all the way to the right)

Ford supposidly is "working on" a fix, as all the cars on my dealers lot have the same problem

when cold your eyes fry from the heat from the dash

I assume others have this problem as well (where it is colder than Scottsdale, AZ)?

I thought it was just me but mine was on the floor when it started sounding like the heater motor cage started grinding on something. As it turns out I think it was the floor blend door fluttering which stands to reason from what everyone else is saying. Just more new car bugs. Lets see... I need to get my strut bearings relaced and my shaker 1000 cd player, and the heater, and.....

mt dealer contacted Ford and was told they are aware of the problem and the fix, parts, whatever, are in the development stage and will be sent as soon as it is completed

should be around springtime when I don't need the heater anymore ...

MY workaround was to put it on the left side of the dial, upper and lower , and close off the dash vents

at least my feet stay warm

18284 2005 MUSTANG - HIGH AIRFLOW FROM DEFROSTER VENTS WHEN IN FLOOR OR FLOOR/DEFROST MODES
SOME 2005 MUSTANGS MAY INTERMITTENTLY EXHIBIT HIGH AIRFLOW FROM THE DEFROSTER VENTS WHEN OPERATING THE CLIMATE CONTROL IN THE FLOOR OR FLOOR/DEFROST MODES. ENGINEERING IS CURRENTLY INVESTIGATING THIS CONDITION. TO TEMPORARILY RESOLVE THE CONDITION, TURN THE CLIMATE CONTROL PANEL CONTROL TO THE 'OFF' POSITION, THEN TURN IT BACK TO THE DESIRED MODE. DO NOT ATTEMPT REPAIR UNTIL A NEW SERVICE PROCEDURE AND/OR PARTS ARE RELEASED. MONITOR OASIS FOR UPDATES.
