Do the strut tower braces fit both V6 and the GT's? Im about to buy a brace from a guy who had one on his v6 and i need to know if it will fit my GT, arent they spaced out the same? If they dont work, why is that? Thanks, this message is time sensative so any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

some will fit both i think but clearance might be a problem....and you do realize that this doesnt do anything for you performance wise and that spending $100 elsewhere would be advised

 

Won't fit. Don't know why. American Muscle has them and on the GT one, it say "Will not fit V6." So there you go. Not interchangeable.

 

Steedas is suppose to fit both from what i have heard....

 

granatelli's single bar tower brace fits both v6 and v8

 

My understanding is that the V6 intake manifold is actually taller, so the V6 brace will fit a V8, but not vice versa. The advantage of the V6 bracesis that at least some types (Steeda is one) of the V6 braces will fit over the V8 Plenum Covers.

You would think you would want the shortest
brace for strength so this "1 size fits all" made by some
companies are not the best for GTs but fine for
V6s. 1 does not fit all and the companies should
make a brace for the V6 and a brace for the GT.

Oh yea, the body is stiff enough in the strut towers.
Spend the $$ on something that you can actually
see a difference in. Unless this is an off-road baha
racer nix the brace.
