Default Touch up paint?

I recently got a few scratches on my rear fender [:@] and was wondering how this touch up paint works? I figure I'll be able to pick up a bottle at my ford dealer... I also have a few rock chips on my hood that I plan on taking care of.

Before I go ahead with it, I was wondering what else I'll need to do, or what I will need for the process? I've never done this before so any advice is appreciated...

Thanks,
Mike

I had mine fixed last week. Something took a huge chunk of paint out of my front fender but fortunately did not dent it.Anyway, if you have an extreme scratch or chip missing I would do it the right way. I had a good body shop at a Ford dealer respray my fender. They took my rocker panel off, fender off, pin stripe off, and GT emblem off; sprayed it and put all that junk back on for $315. That may too much but idk how bad your scratches are.

Yeah, I'd prefer it to be done right, but I wanted to see if I could do it myself first :P

Otherwise I'll get it professionally done.

Thanks

The touch-up paint comes in a small bottle with a small brush and a "pen" tip. For me, they are both difficult to use on large scratches, or chips. It seems to work well in withsmall ones. Thebrush is apain because it picsk up too much paint, which you can thin out, but still hard toapply.
