Pitty Party
For the past year I have been looking forward to going to a car show at Cessna Sept 15th. They areexpecting between 400-600 cars. My problem is I fell and broke my (CLUTCH) ankle last week! I tried to see if I can still drive my Mustang but my cast is so big, it rubs the bottom of the dash. My husband is taking his '64 Fairlane to the show, so he can't drive, and the few people I trust to drive it can't drive a stick. Also, it's so low in the front end it hits on our car trailer. I wont riska "crash and burn"if I don't feel confident I can drive it. Has anyone ever driven with a left cast...got any suggestions? Oh and thanks for letting me cry on everyone's shoulders...

RE: Pitty Party
Since this is a claim on a business (where I fell), I can't jeopardize them paying for expenses by taking off the cast. Igot 4 more weeks before it comes off, then a walking boot. I'm going out this week end and try it again. My ankle will be a little stronger by then, and I have over a week before the show. Where there's a will there's a way!!!! Thx for the help.

I wouldn't drive a manual with a huge cast. You obviously wont be able to control the car as well, and I'm sure you don't want to unnecessarily risk recking your car. Why don't you just go, hang out, and have fun? Plus, if the show isn't too far, couldn't your husband just shuttle back and forth once to drive both the Fairlane and the Stang?
