I'm going to put in a WMS CAI kit. But there is at least on other alternative for a Ram air kit, especally if you have a "regular" CAI. Check out Cervini's:

But you need to get a hood for it, such as:

ill go take a picture right now, but im not sure if ill be able to figure out how to post it. there is a guy in my mustang club that has the c&l kit with the california hood, the hood doesnt really suck air at all because the vents arent raised. the airflow because of the aerodynamics goes atleast 2 inches above the surface of your car, the cali hood does nothing.

i bought my kit used on ebay for $460 canadian. its the 95mm with an xcal2 tuner. i got a good deal, but i was missin the radiator overflow extension hose which is why mine is going right over the bottle right now and not along the fender. i just ordered it for 10 bucks from wms, and the billet pcv valve, right now im using the stock plastic one. but you get the idea. the box seals against the underside of the hood pretty well. and it sounds super mean when you punch it you can hear it, my mac axlebacks sound way nicer now too. this is a great kit even if you dont get it for 1/3rd the price, it took me(someone who knows nothing about cars) 2 hours to install.

That's not even close to a ram air system unless you have a hood that that forces the air into that box. In no way does that setup even have a ram air effect. It is simply taking in air through the grille and coming in to the box through the holes in the radiator cover. That's just a different styled CAI.

Has anyone considered putting a ram air in the S197GT? I was looking under the hood and it doesn’t look like much room for anything to go through there. (Air Hoses and such)
I saw the system on Agentfourtyseven.com where you would have to remove the lights.
I was thinking about putting it where a chin spoiler would go. Maybe a narrow air box or something.
Any thoughts or ideas?
I installed the WMS, relocated the fog lamps to the lower grille and installed plastic fittings from the fog lamp holes up to the WMS slots. The WMS is sealed against the hood with this:

I have a remote temperature sensor in the WMS that lets me know the temp of the air thats being sucked in. The temp is always what the outdoor air temp is.............with the car moving of coarse.

Oh damn.. i really like that WMS CAI..
I have the saleen SC, it looks like it would work with that?

a few questions tho..

I would probably go with the 95mm maf since it would probably be better for forced induction.. i have the saleen tune in my car right now.. i would have to get a whole new tune to use that MAF right? on that incoorporates the saleen tune and the 95mm MAF?

Would I also benefit from a larger throttle body at this point?

What about a throttle body spacer?

if i added all those my whole intake to the engine would be aftermarket, but would they really help performance?
