i just put vinyl on my decklid, i love the way it looks, and its not as thick. looks more retro imo. also if i dont like it after a year or two i can peel it off.

In my case (and I believe for the original poster as well) I'm looking for essentially a thin vinyl blackout panel that eliminates the gas cap but keeps the keyhole. Also any infoon what people did to fill the mounting holes would be appreciated. Thanks.

Right on...thin, no gas cap and some way to cover holes (if used thin vinyl, holes would be seen thru it).

Thanks all, keep the ideas coming

Personally I had thin before when I painted my trunklid myself. It looked ok, but I prefer the look of the blackout panel, because it brings out the recessed area of the trunklid and makes it so the lights are more flush. I think its kinda retarded the way Ford has the lights sticking out, yet the middle of the trunk was sitting in.

Street Scene makes one that looks like what you want.
