Hello all, Clint here, new toa few mustang forumcommunities but plan to stay pretty active so expect more of me

1. I just have a few quick questions... I'm in the process of buying a brand new 08 GT Stang and was wondering... when I'm shopping for an exhaust system or any accessory for that matter, ofcourse most sites only go up to 07 when you sort by year... is it true that for the most part; what fits on an 07 will fit on an 08?

2. And if the answer is yes I'm really trying to make the best decision i can on an exhaust system.I'm not real big on racing so I don't need any extra hp or anything (though if it gave extra its not like i wouldn't want it).... [/align][/align]I'm really just looking for the best system that will make my car sound amazing. Loud, muscular, whatever you want to call it. Not just a screaming system with no tone in it if you know what i mean. Loud but intimidating if you will.You know, the kind of system where people pull up or hear you drive off and are like, "daaaaaamn". HahaAny ideas? Probably the most popular idea is what I'll make my decision on.[/align][/align]

I believe it's generally agreed upon that swapping out the exhaust system won't affect your power much, unless you're starting up at the headers/cats. As for the mufflers, my Corsa's sound great, but I have not heard any other exahust systems first hand so I cannot compare them. welcome to the forums, yes, what will fit on an 07 will fit on an 08 - as said before i'll let those with more firsthand experience take over on the exhaust side, though if your talking about changing out the mufflers, its pretty much agreed upon corsas are the best with no drone, but they cost a pretty penny and a lot of it is personal preference

MBRP axlebacks w/out muffler. these are the rarest, and imo, best sounding. soon i will be going to a catless h-pipe, look out world.

 

theres an official s197 exhaust thread in the 4.6l specific section. my mbrp's are on a video there, page 4 or 5. the video does them no justice, bad mic.
