Shelby GT 500 cheapest price you have seen?

What’s the cheapest price you guys seen or heard of one going for?

I have heard of dealers and know of one dealer selling GT 500’s at MSPR, prices are really coming down you know I would serious consider one used if I could find one with 10K mileage or under for around $35,000.

You would have problems finding an 03 cobra with 10,000 miles for $35,000. I highly doubt you will see the gt500 under $45,000, even with 20K + miles

Saw a Red GT500 coupewith under 400 miles on it on Autotrader.com in No.Cal for $49,500. Has Navigation/Black & Red interior, etc. Thought it seemed like a pretty decent price.

This is not the one Iwas talking (linked below)about above but heres a used one with 7K went for $46.800, I don't knowgetting closer maybe around 35K-37K in 6-12 momths? :)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2007-...QQcmdZViewItem

I don't know anyone else feel we could seearound 35K-37K for a used GT 500 let say with under 15K millage in 6-12 months?

The one that went cheap if I remember correctly was from 2 months ago, is there any way I get e-bays completed deals to let me go back 2 months?

Looks like I could only go back a week or two

No way man. An '03 cobra coupe in the 10K miles range can easily be had for under $30K. I've been researching them for a possible trade.

Never say never hammeron you never know!

You know I think around 35-37K would be a great price if that was possible in 6-12 monthsand might turn out to be an investment good resale valueand less depreciation should you decide to sell down the road, but thats not reallywhy I want one but is a plus,I just really like the motorand itspotentail it is showing.

About 03-04 cobra prices
I had my 03 cobra with 15,000 miles for sale in 06.The market was flooded with cars in the 25,000 price range.Mine was perfect,no mods, and no one even called to see how nice it really was.I ended up giving it and 6,000 cash for a new GT.

When purchasing my new GT the other evening, I noticed that the black/red convertible Cobra they had in the showroom was gone. Salesman told me that they sold it to a man in his mid 40's who came in with his father. Turns out that dad wrote the check for $68K. After the sale, the son peeled out of the dealership, fish-tailed across two lanes and ended up on the median. No major damage, what an a-hole.

$42,000Sh*t thats getting scary close :) happen to know how many miles the car had on it do they still have it?
So far yours is the lowest priced GT 500 other than that narc one posted but can't really count that one as a regular sale.

68K wow that was a lot you could pick them up easy on ebay for around 52K.
Mid 40's I would have though that would have been thedad but that was the son!!lol

$68k for a GT500? The guy must have been too naive to know that you can get a new Z06 for a little bit more. How lame. I don't know how someone could choose a GT500 over a regular C6, much less a Z06! The '08 Corvettes do everything better, looks included imo, although looks are obviously subjective.

To TJ, two to three years seems like a reasonable amount of time to get a used 2007 GT500 for around $35k. I think they are too rare to realistically get one for $35k now. There are always exceptions, but I would be very skeptical about any GT500 currently selling for $35k or so.

$2,500 over MSRP in Los Angeles.

Many dealers are slashing the markups on 2007 GT500s sitting on their lots since the '08s (w/ HID lights, etc.)are arriving shortly.

This one at $45,500 w/ 11 miles is the cheapest I've seen
Shelby GT500

Although it is on eBay, it is from a dealer. The best places to look are small down dealers. I'm talkin smaaaallll towns. If a small town does manage to get one (I have heard of plenty MSRP or $1K below stories btw), they will have a hard time selling it, sometimes even at MSRP.

2 questions for you guys.

Anyone think we will see some 35-37K prices in 6-12 months on a used one milageunder 15K?

If prices drop to the above would any one else seriously consider getting on in that price range

If I were to get one it would be red thinking Snake hood and stripe etc down the road:) the only other color possible vista Blue but red in the GT 500 for me is what I would want.

But I have so much fun dissapointing the local C6 Vettes in my neighborhood. I have raced 1 at the track and 2 on the street (freeway from a rolling 60). I dissapoint them everytime. They obviously don't think I have boost, and it's good knowing that for 35K I am spanking the vettes that are 50K +, and I usually have back seat witnesses to the event which makes it more priceless, maybe it's a good thing they only have 1 witness to see the massacre.....:D:D

To clarify, I was referring to the poster who stated someone paid $68k for a GT500; I wasn't saying the Z06 was $68k. $75k for a Z06 is only 10% more money than $68k for the GT500. I'd pay a little more for the Z06 and stomp on the GT500 all day long.

Lol, must be fun! But the 2008 C6's are rated at 430hp/424tq, and they weigh 3,180 lbs. Are you still faster? You may very well be faster (although I'm sure it must be close), but throw in some twisty roads, and the Corvette will walk all over an S197.

And you don't always have to pay $50k for a C6. I've seen quite a few newspaper ads for 2007'sfor as little as $41k or $42k with the Z51 suspension. I'm sure by this time next year, the 2008's will be similarly priced. Plus, a Corvette is fast right out of the box; no modification necessary. Although I know modding is half the fun with the mustangs.

In summary, I would take a 2008 C6 with the Z51 suspension over any mustang- no question. I just don't have enough $$ for one without making myself poor!

**Edit: ^^Excluding classic mustangs etc that I could sell and buy three Corvettes lol!

You also have to keep in mind that the majority of Corvettes, like the majority of Mustangs are automatics, not manuals.

Perry Ford wanted 48k for a Roush and Fuller wanted 53k for the Shelby in Dec, it was a no brainer. What kinda of Racing do they do at the Q 1/4 mile or Auto X ? Maybe we can hookup on the next S.D run they form, the last one was pretty F-ing cool. Great time! (16-0) this season.
