will 275/50s fit on rear?

RE: will 275/50s fit on rear?
What tires are you looking at in 275/50-17? I didn't find any in that size on tirerack.com. I have 275/50-17 M&H Drag Radials (28" dia) mounted on 17x9" replica Bullitts (which according to M&H is the minimum rim width for these tires). Search the web to find the minimum rim width for whatever size tires you are wanting. If the tire company has set the minimum at 17x9" for your tires, and you chose to mount them on 17x8" Bullitts, don't be surprised if they fail to perform at their best for you.

RE: will 275/50s fit on rear?
I have 275-50-17s on my 17x8Ford Polished Bullitts. I have the rear lowered about 3/4 of an inch using Roush rear springs only. There are no clearance issues and no problems with the tires and they have about 3,500 miles on them. There are only 2 tires that are available in this size that I know of they are on Discount Tires website. The approved rim width for both brands are 7.5 to 9.5 which can be found on each tires own website.

275 would not be reccommended on the stock rims.....you are asking for failure and possible a wreck.
