Default Ebay junkyards?

I've been looking all over the forum classifieds, and searching ebay and craigslist, and still can't seem to find anything I'm looking for. At first, I wanted 18" black bullits, but now, I'm leaning more toward the dark gray/anthracite wheels in that same size. Trying to find some cheap takeoffs, so I can save more money for the project. Also, I was wondering if anyone knows where to get the 6 gauge instrument panel from the IUP for a decent price, and if it's just plug and play. I found a guy on here selling his Pony Package complete front grille, in Vista blue, so that would make going with the 5spd V6 deluxe I'm looking at more tempting, depending on the price. Last thing I'm looking for is the ever infamous power passenger seat. I saw a guy on ebay selling his manual track, because he said he upgraded to power, and I've emailed him to find out how he did it, and what it cost him. I know some of the folks here got stuck with the comfort group, due to having to deal with low '07 stock, and I was wondering if anyone is wanting to part with one, or both, of their seats. The color wouldn't matter, as I'm going to recover the seats with custom leather anyway, just looking for the SAB for safety reasons. I really hope you guys/gals can help, I'm tired of fantisizing about getting the car and getting this done, I want to get the ball rolling, so I can put pics up along the way.[&o]

Duh!Really easy to understand. I'm trying to find parts without going through the ford dealers. Overseas, there were a lot of folks ditching their stock seats in favor of racing seats, and I was hoping to find some folks here doing the same. Just hoping that if there are some out there, that their seats have the Side Airbags. That might not be too big a deal though, if I go with the Vista blue V6 deluxe I found, because it's got a Power DS, and SAB, just have to find a way to get the passenger seat converted over to power. I guess I could get the IUP instrument panel from a dealer, don't really care about the aluminum trim pieces, just want the cluster, but I'd rather find it within the community. The wheels should be the easiest things to get a hold of, just trying to find a decent price. Real kicker's going to be finding GT takeoff bumpers and skirts in White if I go with the blue car, or in Grabber Orange if I go with the red one...[>:]

Hey Tung, have you seen the discounts on the V6??? The price difference is so great now, I couldn't really justify getting the GT over a 6. Besides, this one's gonna be for the wife. MY initials are GT, so I'm saving that for my own personal project...[8D]Gonna have to check PPG for some decent shades of purple...

You are going to have trouble adding power seats without the harness to
support them. And swapping a 2 guage for a 4 guage with the information
is going to require a reflash of your SJB. Try aking the dealer what this
involves before expecting a plugn-play insturment cluster. Shoulda got
a GT?

I know about the harness, that's why I emailed the guy on ebay who had done his, in an effort to become better informed. I had read earlier about the flash for the 6 gauge cluster, I'm more worried about being able to even get a hold of the part. I had a chance to order a GT deluxe exactly the way I wanted it a few months back, but passed. Not really regretting it, because of the extra fuel and insurance costs I would have to absorb, even at 29. If I can make this project work, I'd think about getting an '08 GT deluxe, so I'm not stuck with the Shaker, and go from there. I'm just bummed that Ford has taken away all the incentive money from the GT model, at least in my region...

A flash from the dealer might not be required. All you need is is the 3 buttons (Part # 4R3Z10D889AAA) that does above the radio and the cluster itself programmed with your milage. You can install this yourself and see if it works. Mine did when I did the swap with no problems. If all the guages and speedo work you are good to go, if not the you might have to go to the dealer.

Many people did the swap and got the parts from here.

http://www.discountfordpartsaty2kford.com/

They will want you to ship your original cluster back for a $300 credit. Total cost will be a little over $300 total once the old cluster is returned.

There are several threads on the swap if you want more info. I did not have the dealer involved for any of it though.

Hey Matt,

Thanks for the link. I just called a dealer, and he quoted me $342.45 for the mycolor cluster, and said there was a $200 core charge. Also, I've been on Bob Utter Ford parts website, and so far, putting together a parts list for BOTH power seats, and it's come in under $950 without the heating elements. Can't seem to find a part number or price for those...

Also, I've been searching that link you just gave me, and I noticed that they list seat covers with and without side airbags. Where exactly are the side airbags in the seats? I ask because I've been searching for the modules, and they don't seem to be listed separately.
