Default 4.10 on gas?

The guy at the shop told me next to get 4.10 gears for my automatic 05' GT. I also heard that they give u wayyy worse gas milege. I get about 16 mpg right now does anyone know how much it will go down? It's an everyday car too..
Any advice would be aprreciated. Thanks =)

First of all, if those are your mods in your sig you dont run 350 hp. Maybe 290-295, sorry.

Sorry to get off topic, to answer your question the consensus is usually that you will lose anywhere from 1 to 1.5 mpg during daily driving.

Ahh yes, to the crank. In reality our cars have between 260-265 hp stock to the wheels, with some freaks at 270.

99% of the time when talking about hp it is rwhp that is being reffered to. Crank hp is just for marketing and all that jazz.

Sorry for snapping at ya, lol 350 rwhp would be insane with those mods!

well Kooks will get him about 20 HP, and the tune about 25....so I think 310 RWHP or so is a little closer.

4.10s + intake/tune = .75seconds faster at the track, and gas mileage exactly equal to stock, assuming you don't always floor it

Kind of off topic, but has anyone out there had any problems installing ford racing 4.10 gears. I have been told by friends to go with ford racing because you rarely have to shim them. they said they usually bolt right in with no adjustments.
