SCT TUNER HELP!!
ok so i just got my SCT xcalII SF and i went to go put a 93 tune on my car. this is the regular 93 sct tune. i have an MRT CAI and here is my problem. i plug it in and go through all the steps to tune the car, i selected the type of car(mustang) the year (2005) and the engine size(4.0). well it uploaded the stock tune and that was all fine but after it finished putting the 93 tune on, i started my car and it said ENGINE FAIL SAFE MODE. what does this mean, what should i do? will the tune work with that CAI? or is it running too lean. im trying to sell my intake so i can get a TI or jlt intake because the programmer supports that. help me out guys! thanks.

i put the stock tune back on right after and everything is just fine, but when i try to load the tune it puts the car in engine safe mode. i dont know how to fix it. i mean it uploaded the stock tune fine, and put the 93 one on fine. is the car just running too lean? i tried making it 4% richer and that didnt help either. you guys think i should just get a different CAI? anyone know how much the TI's run with out the programmer?
Is this used?
The PCM code may be wrong, and if you put a tune on the wrong PCM the car will not start.
Make sure its the correct PCM and find out with brenspeed/bamachips or wherever you got it.

its just the regular Strategy flash. it didnt come from a specific company. and the car DOES start but it just runs very, very conservative. its the SCT Strategy flash. it can be used on multiple ford cars as long as the car you used it on before was flashed back to stock. when you get the xcalII from different companies thats when it can only be used on one car. when this is ordered no information is required. it works on about 50 differnt ford cars.
