Default LT headers

Has anyone on here installed a set of LT headers themselves? Also what brand?

I paid for mine to be installed ($600) but a buddy of mine just got a set and cant dish out that kind of $$$. I was wondering if anyone knows if we can tackle the task and do it ourselves. We have engine lift, floor jack, and a ton of air tools. Anyone know how hard it is? Also they are BBK's if that helps.

It was incredibily easy - just time consuming. The only major things you have to do is undo theoil dipstick, motor mounts, starter and steering linkage. Everything else is pretty straight-forward. Good luck!

I havent done it but I am not going to try this on jackstands....i got a quite to get it down for 450 and i think its worth it over the time and headaches that it will create....if you have a lift it would be ideal i think.

You have to drop the steering gearbox, other than that it's pretty simple

Twelve hours of labor for headers? Yikes. There has got to be someplace else to go.

I didn't have to touch the gearbox at all.

I had mine up on ramps and used a jack to lift the motor when necessary. It took me probably about 7 hours. I didn't care though. Loved every minute of it.
