Try searching CAI

There have been hundreds maybe thousands of threads about this . . . but to answer your question

1) If you are only going to put a CAI without a new tune, your choices are limited, K&N, Granetilli, Air Raid
2) If you are giong to go C&L or JLTII then a tuner package XCal2 or Predator Superchips etc. are needed, this will net you the most horsepower too.
3) The inake sound will change and it may sound more like air rushing around, you might here a whoosh sound when stabbing the throttle.
4) Install is cake, under an hour, a couple of minutes if you are only changing the air filter, only need simple hand tools metric size though and a flat head screw driver
5) Only problems could be removing the stock air filter box as it is held in by a pressure clip that can easily snap if not manipulated correctly, not the end of the world unless you are switching back and forth alot with the stock system.

Most folks are using C&L or JLT CAI's

This is the one I chose "WMS"

I run the JLT II on both our gt's, but I like the idea of the wms you have. the other intakes go across the top of the radiator hose and gets hot after a run and I have to cool it down by spraying ice water on it between rounds to be consistant. do you know what kind of hp gain you got from the wms? I gained 22 with the jlt

The HP gains, stationary are about the same.

The benefit to the ram air system I'm using is the intake air will always be the same temperature as the outdoor air when the car is moving .

In my configuration, the fog lamps have been removed, from the fog holes thereare custom made fittings that run up to the WMS slots on each side.
The WMS is sealed against the hood with a slip over weather srtipping.
If younotice on the back right hand side of the WMS there is a gray dot. That is a remote temperature sensor, I always know the temperature of the air entering the intake.

I wanted a true ram air system........so I built one. What is interesting, when the car is moving, air is rushing in thru the front of the hood along the length of the WMS and also thru the fog holes, the faster you go the more pressure is built up in the ram hood because its sealed against the hood. This helps to overcome the pressure drop across the filter. In other words Its helping the engine to breathe a little easier.

Oh yeah, I installed new fogs in the deep into the lower grille on each side. Where fogs should be..........close to the ground.

I preferred the cleaner, sleeker look of the JLT.......extremely well made. You won't be disappointed.

+1 on C&L and JLT, The tune is the biggest factor. Get a good custom tune from b@m@, Brenspeed, evolution or VMP. You will notice a hudge difference once you do. Also the tune is essential as your car will throw a code if you put a CAI on without a tune sense it will run lean.

BBK all so does not require a tune. Easy to install. I did notice a change in power.

Go with the JLT and get the race tune from Doug @ B AMA. You really cant go wrong with that setup.
