I did the CDC and i do love it. But ill tell you this, drilling that first hole in the hood of your baby is nothing short of terrifying.

Is there anything preventing rain water from entering the shaker hood system?

There are drain holes all over the place...

As for the CAI I got some of that 3" SPECTRE Flex tubing, 3" extender, and a 3" bracket looking thing for the metal on the CAI. Just cut a 3" hole in the CAI housing and it was done.

To answer your question you can use a shaker system with your C&l. You will need to put a hole in the heat shield to do so but that is no big deal. As for performance thier are better mods out thier then this one for the money. I think the shaker is more of an appearance mod then a performance mod. It does look really sweet if you can get passed cutting a hole in your hood

I like the shaker system a lot, but I tell you, When I was at CDC headquarters and had a ride in a shaker equipped Mustang, I was enamored completely. They look superb, big time.
The other thing is that I was impressed to see the shaker was Alloy, for some reason I'd always thought the Shaker unit was plastic !!! [&:]

If I could bodge-job one onto my Whipple I'd have one, no doubt.

Do it, do it, do it !!!

I love mine. It looks retro and that's what I went after.

Still looks horrendous if you ask me. If you want a Shaker go with the CDC shaker.
