I'm lookin to get gears for my automatic. People have told me different things. Which ones are better for an auto? 3.73 or 4.10 ?

Dude let me say that I want gears also and I was about to get 3.73 and then I started doing my research and everyone that has 3.73 wishes they got 4.10s and everyone that has 4.10 loves them and says the MPG maybe goes down 2...im getting 4.10 in the weeks to come...join me!!!!!!!!!

 

I have 4.10's... LOVE THEM. wouldn't trade them for 3.73's just for mpg.

4.10s are great, but depending on what mods in the future. I will be pulling mine after the race season ends to put in 3.90s

 

I have 3.73's only because my next mod is going be a supercharger. If I did not plan ona supercharger I would have went with 4.10's

 

Ok, I am dumb here.......how do the gears improve the car?? I have been leaning towards the gears....but I would like to better understand what they do.......

and same question from me too......3.73 vs 4.10?

nooooooooo way I could ever install myself.....would need a good mechanic somewhere....

an easy way of looking at it is its like a lever
Side a=3.31X and Sibe b=X
you move side a a longer distance with less force and the force is multiplyed by 3.31
so going to from 3.3 to 4.1 increses the force at the wheel for a given distance but the DS turns more
so no HP gain but more torque is experienced
