Hey guys! I just purchased a 2007 Torch red Mustang Gt... Im picking the car up next week (Pics to come) And just ordered rally stipes from Baltimore Street Mods. (Double White 10" stripes).

I live in Toronto and wanted to know How difficult it is to install these your self, and If anyone knew someone in the areawho could do it for me, at a reasonable price...

i oredered and installed them on my stang about 2months ago, you will definately want 2 people to do this as it is very fustrating after a while trying to lay the stripes perfect and trying ot squegee it yourself keeping it in place. It was easier though when we did mine becasue 2 months prior we did my uncles mustang and it took about 8hrs and it was our first time ever doing it. When we did mine it only took 4hrs and that was with breaks and pizza. One thing though thats a pain with the kit is with the transfer tape stuff, your suppose to lay the stripe down and squeege the stripes and let dry then take the paper crap off if im not mistakin, at that point it kept pulling the stripe off too adn was a pain keeping on... I think we were just not giving the stripe enough time to dry. Other than that the stripes came out great. I got pics on my computer of mine and my uncles ill try to upload later.

Ok here ya go, i cant get the pics here but heres my photobucket link. Oh I didnt do the stripes on the front bumper because i had the callifornia edition license plate holder out on my car and it had self tapping screws and didnt want to mess with it, so i decided to leave them off and actually think i like it a bit better... i think.

Thx for the replys. Geez, 8 hours. Not quite sure I'd be willing to spend an entire day on just the stripes, Im pretty good mechanically but have had NO experience whatsoever with striping etc, im not too confident in my ability to apply them properly. How much does it cost to put them on? Can any autobody shop do them? Any one you would reccomend in Toronto?

 

i know there is a tint place in missisagua that will do them. im not sure what the place is called but i can find out. i think its off lakeshire( i think thats the roads name). im origionally from Missisagua ont. and last time i was there my cousins bf took his car to get it tinted and saw them doing stripes on a car. ill try to find out.
