Default Factory Tune.

Still waiting to mod and all after the 1st so Im wondering if there is anyway to get my car flash my computer back to stock. Im asking this because I've heard that when loading a high proformance tune and daily driving your car...the computer adjusts itself to your average driving style and lowers the power of your tune. Thus, causing you to have to REload it. Well, I dont dog my car so Im guessing the factory tune would do the same and lower its power. Is there any way to flash my computer so I can get the feel back cause I really feel my car USED to be a lot more "pirky" with power so to speak. Thanks.

From what I understand once you have a tune your car will no longer adjust itself to your driving habits?

there are a few threads on this - try searching for them. if i remember correctly though, the general conclusion was undetermined concerning whether or not the ecu adjusts once a performance tune has been loaded - it seems like a lot of folks feel as if it does, though. so...reload the tune from time to time and see if that helps you. if nothing else, you can't mess anything up by doing it and perhaps you'll benefit from the placebo hp-tune effect

I reload the tune about every two weeks.

Couldn't you just re-boot the system by doing the battery disconect?

Thats what I was thinking. Just disconnect the battery since I dont have an aftermarket tune/tuner...YET. ;-) Hopefully brent can hook me up with a good tune for my BBK CAI but ive even heard of problems with it even with Brents tune. I dont want to have to sell it but if I must I will probably get the JLT II.

A little off the topic but I know my Ram1500 does revert relatively quickly, I need to load the tune about every 3000km or the shifts go soft, I bet the Moosetang is the same? Never tried the battery disconnect.

I got the JLT from Doug @ B AMA and I haven't felt or at least noticed any problems. It still feels like a bat outta hell.

The learning capabilities are not shut off but there are tables that are adjusted that can not be altered so you will lose a little punch perhaps but not all of it. here is brents and dougs responses
